In a diverse country like France, it can be quite complicated to find the right hair type for everyone. That's why at Exalto, we've developed several hair types based on our malleable heads to best represent hair diversity.

At Exalto Professionnel, it's essential to have products that meet the needs of the hairdressing market. It's important to have a wide range of malleable heads and accessories so that hairdressers can practice on all hair types. Textured hair can be quite complex if you don't know how to style, enhance and care for it.

That's why Exalto Professionnel has developed a range of malleable heads for textured hair to meet this specific need.

Alma

Alma is Exalto's must-have malleable head for hairdressers who want to perfect their cutting techniques on textured hair. 2 on the Walker scale.

The Alma mannequin head has a hair length of 30cm, which represents approximately 5 cutting stages, ideal for hairdressers to learn, during training courses, how to cut textured hair. This professional product has an average density of 220-240cm/hair for a beautiful hair volume. It's a realistic density that allows you to achieve all types of cuts and hairstyles.

You can also perform balayage and bleaching exercises on the Alma professional styling head; the curly hair of this mannequin head is 100% natural, of Indian origin. We don't recommend coloring this professional styling head, as its color is already dark enough (tone level 3), so you won't get any visible results. Finally, you can perform straightening and Brazilian exercises on this textured, wavy hair styling head

Stella

Stella is a malleable head with a soft curl like Alma and longer than Alma. 2 on the Walker scale.

The Stella mannequin head has a hair length of 60cm, which represents several stages of cutting, ideal for learning and perfecting cutting on textured hair for a hairdresser or for your hairdressing training. This professional product has an average density of 220-240cm/hair for beautiful hair volume. It is a realistic density that allows you to achieve any type of cut and hairstyle.

It is also possible to color this professional mannequin, its 4/5 tone level is ideal for coloring and ombre exercises. Finally, you can perform straightening and Brazilian smoothing exercises on this textured, wavy hair styling head. Each professional hairdressing equipment must be chosen specifically according to your needs: 100% natural, human hair styling heads for coloring, for cutting techniques with professional clippers on a male mannequin, for learning to cut on hair curly afro.

Léa

Léa is a malleable head with an afro type of hair that is textured. 3 on the Walker scale.

The malleable Léa head has a hair length of 25cm, which represents several cutting stages, ideal for learning to cut afro hair for a hairdresser or for your hairdressing training courses. This professional product has a high density of 220-240cm/hair for beautiful hair volume. It's a realistic density that allows you to achieve all types of Afro cuts and Afro hairstyles.

You can also perform balayage and bleaching exercises on Léa's professional head of hair; however, you should know that it's more complicated to achieve visible results on curly hair.

Indeed, the hair on our malleable head Léa is more fragile because the hair curl is tight, so it's quite possible that you won't get visible results from your bleach/sweep tests. You can also color this styling dummy, whose 4/5 tone height is ideal for coloring exercises. Last but not least, you can perform straightening and Brazilian smoothing exercises on this afro hair styling head.

Lenny

Lenny is Exalto's new malleable head. It has a higher density of frizzy hair, with a very tight curl. 4 on the Walker scale.

The Lenny malleable head has a hair length of 30cm, which represents several cutting stages, ideal for learning to cut men's Afro hair for a hairdresser or for your hairdressing training courses. This professional product has a high density of 230-250cm/hair for beautiful hair volume. It's a realistic density that lets you achieve all types of Afro cuts and Afro hairstyles.

You can also perform balayage and bleaching exercises on the Lenny professional styling head; however, you should be aware that it's more complicated to achieve visible results on frizzy hair. In fact, the hair on our Lenny malleable head is more fragile because the curl of the hair is so tight, so it's quite possible that you won't get visible results from your bleach/sweep tests. You can also color this styling dummy, whose 4/5 tone height is ideal for coloring exercises. Last but not least, you can perform straightening and Brazilian smoothing exercises on this afro hair styling head. All professional hairdressing equipment should be chosen specifically according to your needs: 100% natural hair styling heads, human hair for coloring, for professional clipping techniques on men's mannequins, for learning to cut curly hair, afro....

Always with the aim of best representing the different hair textures, Exalto has decided to develop new products this year to take your learning experience of textured hair a step further.

Textured highlights

Last but not least, we've created a new, world-exclusive metier of perfect strands to explain different hair textures in formation. Each one represents a hair category on the Walker scale.

This highlights the fact that styling techniques (cut, color, balayage...) must be totally adapted and reviewed to suit each hair type. The hairdresser must therefore adapt to the texture of his client's hair to bring out its full potential. This makes our mechiers an indispensable teaching tool for your textured hair training courses. This world-exclusive product can be very useful for training courses or even for practicing in the salon.

We've taken into account the differences in hair texture found in the Walker scale, offering a complete mechier to meet everyone's needs.

Care & Maintenance

Textured hair is very fragile. It is very brittle and in intense need of hydration, nutrition and protection. That's why Exalto recommends you follow these tips to best preserve malleable heads of textured hair.

- Use a mild shampoo; sulfates in shampoos can dry out hair, whereas textured hair needs more moisture.

- Use products adapted to textured hair.

- Apply conditioner; conditioner will moisturize and soften hair.

- Or apply a mask to deeply nourish, repair and strengthen the hair fiber.

- Or use a leave-in treatment to moisturize hair and facilitate styling.
